"More than Housing" is MAAC Project's philosophy. Together with our many community partners, MAAC develops diverse and attractive affordable housing solutions, property management, home loan counseling, and services geared toward improving the lives of children and families.
MAAC Project has developed over 1,000 units of affordable housing and continues to provide quality asset and property management to over 840 of those housing units.
The housing sites include:
- Mercado Apartments (144 units) in Barrio Logan
- President John Adams Manor (300 units) in the Oak Park Community of Southeastern San Diego
- Laurel Tree Apartments (138 units) in Carlsbad
- San Martin de Porres Apartments (116 units) in Spring Valley
- Villa Lakeshore Apartments (34 units) in Lakeside
- Mayberry Townhomes (70 units) in Southcrest, Southeast San Diego
- Seniors On Broadway (42 units) in Chula Vista; and
- Single-family homes in National City and southeast San Diego.
MAAC Project, in 2002, acquired and developed the MAAC Community Center, a 75,000 square foot facility in Chula Vista which houses the following:
- Administrative Headquarters
- MAAC Community Charter School
- Healthy Homes (Weatherization)
- Driving Under the Influence Program
- Community Development and Chula Vista Service Center
- Housing & Real Estate Development
Additionally, MAAC Project is also in the predevelopment stages of developing the COMM22 project in Logan Heights, San Diego. COMM22 is a mixed-use, mixed-income development consisting of 70 senior housing units, 127 family housing units, market rate live/work, 17 homes for sale, a child care center, and over 12,000 square feet of retail and commercial space.
